Myopia Management

About Us

Myopia typically develops during childhood and can continue to progress as the eye grows until around age 20. This can result in the need for stronger prescription strengths year-over-year as well as an increased risk of other eye conditions later in life

There are three treatment options for controlling myopia: atropine, MiSight 1-Day contact lenses, and orthokeratology.

Atropine has the ability to slow myopia, without significant mydriasis and cycloplegia. It is available at a low dosage through a compounding pharmacy.

About Us

MiSight 1-Day contact lenses are soft contacts that can slow the progression of nearsightedness. It has been proven that children who wear these contact lenses notice twenty five percent less myopia progression and thirty one percent less elongation compared to those wearing glasses over a period of two years.

Orthokeratology treatment is used to temporarily reshape the contour of the cornea and reduce myopia. During the treatment, you will need to wear RGPs (hard contact lenses) at night only, which will result in better vision during the day without the corrective lenses.
